It crashes Ableton if I use the plugin on kore than 3 tracks.Įvery time I open a project in my DAW I have to delete the VST and then put it back into my songs, as a result any changes I made to FX2 previously (such as adding an effect or changing levels within FX2) are lost when I do this. I have tried and tried to get the product to work and really like it when it does work but I've had nothing but problems and I have given it way more chances than I should have. Below is my summary of the issues I had to Positive Grid Tech support. When the product works it sounds great but it is fraught with issues and tech support was weak at best. I bought the FX2 with high hopes and gave it a solid 3 weeks. I use a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 Gen 2 interface I used Ableton Live 10 on a Win 10 server specifically built as a DAW work station. I am a guitar and bass player and song writer with 52 years of experience playing and about 40 years of home studio experience, I consider myself an advanced player and an intermediate recording engineer. Over all very impressed with the program. Now using this program I do not hear the cracking at all. Once’s I switched it did decrease this dramatically.Īlso, for recording I use Studio One 4, which I found is much better than other programs I tried. I will admit at first I was using gaming headphone, which I found out was a huge no. I did notice the effects would cracking at times, which even showed up in a recording. As a result, I sold all my actual pedals. I was very impressed on the overall sound quality. I was messing around with different things deal on this program and then would play a real pedal to compare the sound. The actual sound, in my personal opinion, sounded better then a real pedal.
I love the ability to change pedals, amps, cabinets etc. These effects sound amazing and the ability to change through different presets or personally make up your own. With technology now it really is amazing what you can do at home on your computer, strictly regarding music. With that said, I went to a friends house who showed me this program and I was really impressed.
